The Intro to Consulting Program is a new initiative sponsored by Accenture designed to introduce first, second, and third-year undergraduate students of any faculty into the world of consulting. Successful applicants will attend 4 sessions through mid-January to late-March where they will learn what consulting is, what a day in the life of a consultant looks like, how to network, and how to prepare for the recruitment process as well as conclude with an internal case competition.
Applications to our Fall 2022 program is now closed. Please follow us on social media and sign up for our email list to stay up to date with all of UCCA’s initiatives and opportunities!
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at resources@ucalgaryconsulting.ca with any inquiries.
Applications to the Intro to Consulting Program open mid to late Fall semester of each year.
Unfortunately, this program is only for 1st to 3rd year students. We also do not recommend this program for upper year students as the program content not only focuses on consulting basics, but also general introductory business skills that upper year students may be too advanced for.
If you are an upper year student and are interested in summer or full-time new grad recruitment, we recommend that you engage in our networking events, other programs such as our SGMA 559/668 course, Volunteer Internships, and Consulting Projects, or check out our recruitment resources.
Yes! The great thing about consulting is that the skills you learn are applicable to almost any job. While UCCA’s goal is to help students become consultants, we understand consulting might not be for everyone so we are supportive in helping students develop skills for any career path. The Intro to Consulting Program also focuses on helping younger students of any faculty develop basic business skills, so it is highly recommended for students of diverse backgrounds.
